Have you seen this Vogue edition?
In brief...

Vogue Italia was accused of  showing disturbing and controversial photos. The work made by Steven Meisel, was called "Horror Movie".

When I saw the pictures I was shocked, but not for the fact they might seem a bit out of the line, but for the amazing job Natalie Westling did at the scene. They could not have chosen more appropriate model for this role. This Year, Natalie dyed her hear bright red and makes her pale face brightlight even more, interesting contrast!
Issa Lish also made her appearance. Amazing job!

But the main idea of this writting was talking about the answer given by the editor in chief, Franca Sozzani, to give closure to all these absurd comments:

“The horror of life is bigger than the one that you can see in the movies. This is really a horror show, what we are looking at and what we see every day in every newspaper around the world is how fragile the woman is today, and how she can be attacked, can be abused, can be killed. We sell the dream because we are a magazine… But at the same time, we can give people the opportunity to have a voice, for awareness. It´s not about provocation, at all.”

I could not agree more with it, the issue of  women abuse is not a spoken topic and it is often ignored. Sometimes, magazines need to show how is the reality in which we are living in, and who better to do it that a fashion magazine, where we are expecting to see a fantasy (as she says in other words) and in this case we are surprised with real events, they manage to capture even more our attention and for us to be aware about this circumstances.
I think people don't like to see the truth because it scares them!

Here are some of the pictures ....
